What's On

Visitor Zones

Six large visitor zones provide manufacturers clearly-signposted opportunities to meet only the most relevant exhibitors, along with the space to sit down and digest presentations as well as network.

•  Industrial Automation     •  Internet of Things     •  Digital Transformation      •  Smart Factory    •  Manufacturing Innovation     •  Industrial Data

Solutions Theatres

Conference-style learning from world-class manufacturing and technology experts – over 200 presentations during both days of Smart Factory Expo. Free-to-attend for all visitors, these Solutions Theatres are located centrally within each Visitor Zone.

Spaces are limited - so make sure you get there early!

Partner Districts

You recognise the biggest exhibitor names - but do you know who their partners are? Partner Districts help to showcase some of the world’s biggest tech companies’ partner ecosystems, allowing you to see which solutions are most integrated.

Speakers Corners

Expertise lurks around every corner at Smart Factory Expo - with our Speakers Corners providing a popular way for exhibitors and manufacturers to address small crowds of visitors in designated ‘standing room only’ corners of the showfloor.

Innovation Alley

Ideas, energy and opportunity combine in Innovation Alley – where 60 of the UK’s hottest manufacturing tech start-ups are lifting the lid on the future of British manufacturing at Smart Factory Expo.

Located at the intersection of Smart Factory Expo’s six visitor zones – Innovation Alley is a platform for the country’s most promising manufacturing-focused start-ups to pitch their ideas and build partnerships with digitally-minded manufacturers.

Innovation Alley is a densely-packed networking space, where entrepreneurs pitch their innovations direct to Smart Factory Expo attendees from ‘micro booths’ – a concentrated dose of ideas, energy and opportunity.

Consultant Clinics

Smart Factory Expo has arranged for business consultants to be on hand throughout the two days, available in 15-minute slots to answer questions on a range of business transformation and strategy issues.

The consultants are available to help you think clearly about your opportunities, issues, solutions and actions.

There is no selling and no fees involved ... though you may end up wanting to continue the conversation and explore opportunities beyond Smart Factory Expo!

Women in Manufacturing Day

Building on the success of the inaugural ‘Women in Digital Manufacturing’ sessions in last year’s Smart Factory Expo, we are delighted to double the amount of time and space in support of the most critical failing of UK manufacturing: the underrepresentation of women in the workforce.

UK manufacturing cannot afford to waste talent - and with only 15% of manufacturing positions held by women, we bring together the women and men determined to address this issue with a day of presentations, workshops and mentoring sessions.

Case Study Cafe

Grab a comfy seat and a good coffee in our Case Study Cafe - and be inspired by a display of UK manufacturing success stories that take you on a digital manufacturing journey, while you rest your feet.

The Business Show

The Manufacturer magazine has been covering UK manufacturing for over 20 years, and we have some of the brightest minds in UK media in our editorial team. Come along and watch as we interview the great and the good of UK manufacturing about their successes and failures, quiz exhibitors about the digital manufacturing opportunity, and rope in passing show visitors to tell their story.

STEM Afternoon

Manufacturing is in the middle of a renaissance, and we want UK students to know about it. A schedule of speaking presentations on the afternoon of 15th November aims to inspire the next generation of British manufacturing talent. If you see students visiting during the last couple of hours of the expo - please share some words of encouragement.

Smart Factory Expo is launching an opt-in web networking platform, allowing visitors to set-up meetings with exhibitors and one another at the various meeting points on the show floor.  If you are looking to be a part of the digital manufacturing community, and want to win a year’s subscription to The Manufacturer, make sure you sign-up!

Manufacturing Tours

Sign up for Smart Factory Expo, and apply for one of dozens of Manufacturing Tours to facilities in and around Liverpool. If you are from out of town, take a look for yourself at the fabulous infrastructure the region has to offer - and some of the world-beating manufacturers taking advantage of it.
